Skeletonized Masterpieces at the SIHH 2014

At the Geneva exhibition SIHH 2014, many famous watch companies presented their new products with skeletonized mechanisms.
Abandoning bridges and boards of calibers, the watchmakers leave only the frame of the mechanism, visible from both sides of the case. Skeleton watches are considered, if the basic details of the caliber are decorated with engraving, precious stones or filigree. Meet some virtuoso models of contemporary watchmaking:
The Vacheron Constantin Metiers d'Art Mechaniques Ajourées watch functions on the base of the skeletonized caliber 4400, the creation of which artists inspired by the watches and architecture of the 19th century European train stations. The outer side of the bezel and black inner bezel are decorated with baguette-cut diamonds, made in the technique of enameling grand feu.

The model Piaget Emperador Coussin Tourbillon Automatic Diamond is based on the ultra-thin mechanism 1270D with tourbillon. Baguette diamonds encrusted the bezel, the tourbillon carriage and the rotor.

The Cartier Tank Louis Cartier Skeleton watch is equipped with a transparent board, partly made of sapphire crystal, which is the part of the mechanism 9616MC, the prototype of which was a desktop clock Mystery Clocks of 1912s. The model has a case with dimensions of 30 mm x 7.45 mm.

The Richard Mille 35-01 Rafa Nadal watch, enclosed in a carbon case NTPT, operates on the base of an open caliber with manual winding and tourbillon.

The Montblanc TimeWalker Chronograph 100 watch, equipped with a mechanism MB M66.25 of the company Minerva production, counts time intervals up to a hundredth of a second. The caliber has a balance frequency of 50 Hz or 360 000 vb / h and is equipped with two balance wheels.
