SIHH-2014: Rotonde de Cartier Day and Night by Cartier

The watch brand Cartier has presented at the exhibition SIHH- 2014 a new model Rotonde de Cartier Day and Night, which recreated one of the branded complications: the retrograde indicator of lunar phases and the caliber 9912 MC. In the upper part of the dial is placed the disc image of the moon and the sun, which rotates and is then carried out day and night. To enhance the experience, the retrograde moon phase indicator is equipped with a hand in the shape of a crescent.
The Rotonde de Cartier Day and Night watch is enclosed in a case made of 18 carat pink gold with a diameter of 43.5 mm. The crown with a grainy finish is made of 18 - carat pink gold and decorated with blue sapphire cabochon.

The white galvanized dial in guilloche is plated and decorated with lattice. The dial features black Roman numerals, the minute hand in blued steel with "Breguet apple" and the blued hands of the day and night indicator and the retrograde moon phase indicator.
The unique mechanism MC 9912 is numbered and assembled with 290 components, on the 44 jewels. Diameter - 30 mm, height - 6.44 mm. The caliber provides the balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations / hour and 48 - hour power reserve. On both sides of the case, waterproof to 30 meters, is equipped with a sapphire crystal.
The Rotonde de Cartier Day and Night watch by Cartier is supplied on a brown alligator strap framed by a double adjustable folding buckle in 18- carat pink gold.
