The company Montblanc at Salzburg Festival of Young Directors
Fans of the company Montblanc probably know, that the company actively supports the project Young Directors – competition of theater directors and their companies from different countries, taking place in the framework of the Salzburg Festival since 2002.
Each year, Montblanc House lists some of the proceeds from the sale of a special series of pens Max Reinhardt, for the needs of the project, and in addition, it is sponsoring the project Young Directors. Thus, buying pens from a special limited edition, you help the House Montblanc to make it possible to perform the fourth international festival. Note that the winners are determined by the jury during the competition Montblanc Young Directors Award. The award is a unique international prize for theater directors, remuneration in the form of an impressive amount of 10,000 Euros and fountain pen Montblanc Max Reinhardt specially created for the project. In 2012, the creation of a special series of pens, proceeds from sales of which will be used to support the project, according to designers Aristan Studios House of Montblanc in Hamburg, was inspired by the play "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare directed by Max Reinhardt.
Hommage à Max Reinhardt pen
On the embossed image that adorns the cap of the pen made of silver 925, is depicted a scene from the play, during which the captain of the royal army Macbeth comes to the three witches to learn his fate. The case is made of red gold, which symbolically represents the sorrow and bloodshed brought by Macbeth.
The pen itself is made of 18-carat gold, and is decorated with gold embossed outline of the fortress Hohensalzburg. This small cap of this small writing work of art is crowned with a Montblanc star and with beautiful engraving. All products of exclusive series are presented with a specially created case. Special edition Hommage à Max Reinhardt is presented in a line of only 20 products for the whole world.
