Altiplano Skeleton 1200S Timepiece by Piaget for Only Watch 2013
Swiss watch brand Piaget has announced the release of a novelty Altiplano Skeleton 1200S, which will be presented in September at a charity auction Only Watch 2013. The novelty is an extremely thin, skeletonized watch with an elegant openwork decoration. The design is characterized by a harmonious combination of the technical perfection and elegant classics.
The round case is made of 18-carat white gold, covered with PVD-coated black. Waterproof to 30 meters, the case has a diameter of 38 mm and a thickness of 5.34 mm, which converts the timepiece in the thinnest automatic skeleton in the world. On the top of the case and its back cover is established an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
The Altiplano Skeleton 1200S watch functions on the base of the manufacturing ultra-thin self-winding caliber 1200S, collected on the 26 jewels. The reliable caliber with thickness of 2.4 mm has a balance frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and provides a 44-hour power reserve. The mechanism is completely skeletonized by hand, perfectly polished and decorated. The weight of the micro-rotor with a black coating is only two grams, and the thickness of the caliber wheels is equal to 0.12 mm. Functions: hours, minutes.
