SIHH-2013: Cartier Represents New Calibre Chronograph Watch
In 2010, the legendary brand Cartier released the Calibre de Cartier watch. This year, the elegant model is presented in another form: a powerful case that stands out among other models by striking combination of polished and satin elements. The new version differs a mechanism 1904-CH MC with the chronograph function.

The Calibre de Cartier watch, equipped by the first manufacturing caliber with the chronograph function, opens a line of the 8 models with leather straps or metal bracelets. This line includes models for every taste - from watches with steel cases up to models with gold cases decorated with precious stones. The new chronograph, made in the sports-style, is created in accordance with the defiant spirit of the Calibre de Cartier collection, which inspires the wearer to conquer new heights.
The novelty has bright, recognizable features - two chronograph pointers at 3 and 9 o’clock positions on the silver dial, large Roman numeral XII, the fluted bezel with a graduated scale in the "rail" style. The models emphasize the dynamic nature of the chronograph buttons, which are located on both side of the crown.

The caliber, which is equipped with a model Calibre Chronograph, combines two complex systems that control the chronograph functions. The column wheel controls the work of the three chronograph functions - start / stop / reset. This system is equipped with only the best chronographs of the collection. With its high accuracy, the movement 1904-CH MC is required to the vertical clutch, which allows avoiding jerking the second’s hand at the start and stop. The vertical clutch system reduces energy consumption by the chronograph, in the result of which its work does not affect the general power reserve of the watch. The mechanism is equipped with a linear reset hammer, providing instant and accurate simultaneous return of all the hands in the original position even with a slight press of a button.
