A New Cartier Grand Complication Skeleton watch for SIHH 2012
The famous watch company Cartier has presented an extraordinary watch Grand Complication Skeleton. This is a pocket-sized model, almost devoid of the case. Of course, actually it has a case, but designed as the part of the dial – it is skeletonized by the Roman numerals surrounded the watch movement 9436 MC.
The diameter of the masterpiece is 59mm. Grand Complication Skeleton is performed in white gold. The skeletonized dial is protected by a sapphire crystal. What is the Grand Complication in technical terms? This model is complicated by the date pointer in the "12 o’clock" position, the day of the week pointer on the "3 o’clock" position, as well as the month pointer at the "9 o'clock" position. At "4 o’clock" is a leap year indicator. The model is also equipped with a tourbillon. The crown in the direction of "12 o’clock" is decorated with a sapphire cabochon.
The skeletonized mechanism Grand Complication Skeleton has a 100-hour power reserve. The caliber is composed of 457 parts, for decoration and skeletonization of which took about 200 hours. A further 200 hours are required for assembly and installation of this mechanism.
Grand Complication Skeleton is issued in a limited edition of only 10 items in white gold. There are also five models, adorned with diamonds. Grand Complication Skeleton is available on a stand of rock crystal and obsidian. To create Grand Complication Skeleton artists are inspired by the Cartier pocket model of 1930.
