RM 057 Dragon-Jackie Chan Tourbillon Watch by Richard Mille at the SIHH 2012

The Swiss watch company Richard Mille, specializing in the production of exclusive watches, at the Geneva exhibition SIHH 2012 has introduced the RM 057 Dragon-Jackie Chan Tourbillon watch.
As known, from January 23, 2012 till February 9, 2013 by the Chinese Zodiac is the Year of the Black Dragon. For millennia, dragons have been associated with various stories, myths and legends. In China the dragon is one of the most revered mythical animals. The dragon is a symbol of imperial power. According to Chinese mythology, the dragon lives in rivers, lakes, seas, but can soar to the heavens. Many watch companies have returned to this subject, in their models embodying the image of a dragon.
The company’s founder Richard Mille, who likes to experiment and each time has surprised its fans with delightful models of watches, in honor of the Chinese Year of the Black Dragon has released a model called RM 057 Dragon-Jackie Chan Tourbillon.
The novelty has been developed in cooperation of Richard Mill and the famous Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan. This is not the first collaboration of Hong Kong actor and the Swiss watchmaker. In 2011, the two friends have designed the RM 055 JC Tourbillon watch, which at a charity auction Dragon's Heart Foundation have been sold and the money are sent to build schools for children living in remote or poor areas of China.
The novelty RM 057 Dragon-Jackie Chan Tourbillon differs from previous models with its design. The barrel-shaped watch case measures 50 mm x 42.70 mm x 14.55 mm, consisting of three parts, made of 18 carat white or red gold. The case back is made of black onyx, which is thought to takes all the negative energy. On the case back is engraved Jackie Chan’s signature.
The gorgeous dial of the model is a real masterpiece. The dial is divided into two parts: the dragon depicted on it, as if tries to beat the hands at the top of the dial. The dragon is made by hand from a solid piece of gold. At the top of the dial, around the hands, are seen the gears, and the bridges, made of titanium, hold the tourbillion, located at the bottom, where it is engraved a dragon's head. On a black background the golden dragon and hands look beautifully. The dial is protected by a double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The watch water resistant is 50 meters.
The RM 057 Dragon-Jackie Chan Tourbillon watch is equipped with manufactory skeletonized mechanism RM057 with manual winding. The caliber with dimensions 32.80 mm x 29.00 mm and the thickness of 5.17 mm is equipped with a balanced wheel, a tourbillon, and a power reserve indicator. The mechanism is built on the 21 jewels, the frequency - 21,600 vibrations per hour, power reserve - 48 hours.
The watch is released in a limited edition - 36 items of 18-karat white or red gold.
