Grisaille is one of the oldest techniques of French enameling, which is complicated by the fact that the disposal of the master just two shades of black and white. Master applies the white lines like on a black canvas to get the picture: the enamel can leak at any moment. A good result depends exclusively on the work of the engraver’s mastery. It took 40 hours of handmade of the enamel master to create the model Rotonde de Cartier Tiger Motif.
