The laminated weaving technique is a rolling gold or silver into thin sheets, which are cut into small ribbons and intertwined with colored threads. To create such a unique dial, silk first is stretched and secured so that the master could set the line of the drawing - a bay leaf. After that, the artist uses a needle to form a spun - a filigree element, which consists of a spiral curled golden thread. The gimp is embroidered on silk satin and straight stitches. All this work takes more than five hours and requires up to three meters of precious thread.
Another technique – called a painting by a needle. During operation thousands of tiny straight stitch silk thread on silk canvas are made, which serves as the dial. To create a picture of rose in a concise color palette are used six different shades of silk, ranging from light to dark pink.
