Richard Mille Watch in honor of the Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa

The Swiss company Richard Mille presents a new limited edition watches Tourbillon Split Seconds Competition Chronograph RM 050 Felipe Massa, having, as its name implies, a split-chronograph function. The novelty is released only in a quantity of 10 items, which will be a godsend for fans of Felipe Massa involved in Formula 1 racing in the Scuderia Ferrari.

The watch continues of ideas of the RM 008 Tourbillon split seconds model due to a new caliber RMCC1 with hand-winding. The enhanced caliber was primarily facilitated by - the company's engineers have reduced the weight at the same time increasing the comfort of lightened watch wearing. As a result, a unique mechanism weighs just 10 grams, but it provides 70 hours of power reserve. For facilitating the case are used platinum and titanium and skeletization. That is, RMCC1 is not just made of light metal and they have cut out all unnecessary.

The watch mechanism RMCC1 is protected from over winding by the spring of a special warning system. The indication of the winding spring appears on the dial at the 4 o’clock position. The indicator is working very simple: if the spring has a nominal diameter of less than 53 mm, the winding is weak, and if more than 65 mm, you overdid it with the winding, which can cause the damage of the mechanism. The indicator of the spring winding has three positions: W (Winding) - N (Neutral) and H (Hands).

The split-chronograph button is set at 4 o’clock position. At the bottom of the dial there is a tourbillon with yellow second hand and markings. Two chronological counters are arranged at "9 and 11 o'clock."

The black case of Tourbillon Split Seconds Competition Chronograph RM 050 Felipe Massa is made of a special polymer composition in which the carbon nanotubes are added. Due to its hollow structure, reminiscent of the bone, nanotubes can withstand a harsher external mechanical damage than other materials. The water resistance of the case is 50 meters and it provides by a pair of insulating rings of nitrile. All parts of the case are connected by a unique 20th titanium screws with steel washers.
