SIHH 2013: Tortue Multi Time Zone Watch by Cartier
The top line of Cartier Fine Watchmaking is supplemented this year with the Tortue Multi Time Zone watch. As you can guess from the name, the novelty displays the time in different time zones. As a rule, on the periphery of the World time models’ dials are engraved the names of 24 cities in different time zones. Cartier has moved away from the traditional "interpretation" of the multifunction watches, creating a modern version with a lateral disc of cities, integrated into the mechanism. A retrograde dial indicator indicates the difference between time zones. By skilfully executed image of the hemispheres of the earth on multi-level dial moves the hand indicating the day and night, providing an easy readability of the dial.
