Cartier has introduced a new ID Two concept
The company Cartier has introduced a new concept of watches, which was developed over 5 years.
The first part of the name stands for Innovation and Development, and the second indicates the number of the watch set up in the research, development and technological work carried out by engineers. The new concept replaces the ID One watch.
When you first look at the Cartier ID Two, an absolutely transparent case catches the eye.
The first transparent watch in the world as we know has created by Quinting. This year, a similar model is released by Richard Mille. Both companies used in the manufacture of the case a sapphire crystal. Cartier has the effect of transparency due to ceramic (the material called Ceramyst).
Transparent case is made without a single screw: back side tightly adheres to the substrate due to the difference in pressure. Air is pumped out of the case, inside it there is the vacuum 99.8% (to continue for 10 years).
The crown, which is located on the lateral surface of the case at the 3 o’clock position, is set so that the operations do not lead to the ingress of air into the watch.
Cartier ID Two is characterized by exceptional accuracy, which is achieved due to the vacuum case (the error is due to move elements of the mechanism of the air friction). Power reserve - 32 days. This is an absolute record!

Record power reserve is provided by two winding barrels, which are installed inside the fiberglass springs which do not require lubrication and allowing the energy to store up to 30 percent more. 10-percent power reserve adds an innovative differential gear with silicon-carbon-fiber wheels that do not require lubrication, having anti-magnetic properties and corrosion resistance. Silicon-carbon parts are lighter than steel by 60% and 70% firmer.
The Concept of ID Two watch is intended to show what heights reached modern technology. The project does not launch into a series, but the materials and ideas, used in it, no doubt, will be used in new models of the company.
