Richard Mille partnership with the driver Romain Grosjean

The watch brand Richard Mille has recently announced a partnership with one of the most famous Formula 1 drivers - Romain Grosjean, who began his career at Lotus in 2012. The Swiss racing driver Grosjean is the champion of Formula 3 Euroseries 2007, the champion of the GP2 Asia debut season, as well as the champion of the GP2 Series in 2011.

Announcement of collaboration coincided with E22 Lotus car Formula 1 test runs. The Grosjean wrist during test rides and races all coming season of Grand Prix 2014 will be decorated with the model Automatic Flyback Chronograph RM 011 Lotus F1 Team-Romain Grosjean of carbon NTPT®.

The watch is equipped with a case made of carbon fiber NTPT ® - an exclusive material Richard Mille, consisting of 600 layers of carbon fiber. This extremely tough, impact-resistant material will be subjected to testing rate fluctuations and weather, as Formula 1 driver will wear a watch over the jumpsuit during races.

The case with dimensions of 50 x 40 mm (at widest point) x 16.15 mm (at the thickest point) of black carbon NTPT ®, harmonizes with golden buttons and a crown. Placed between the labels 1 and 2, the button is provided to start / stop the chronograph functions and button between 4 and 5 labels - to reset the flyback function.
The open dial features the tachymeter scale, the large date aperture at the 12 o’clock position, the 60-minute countdown timer at the 3 o’clock position, month aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock positions, 12-hour counter at the 6 o’clock position and the small second’s counter at the 9 o’clock position. The dial is adorned with the Lotus Formula 1 team logo and the gold inscription “RM 011 R. Grosjean”.
