Vacheron Constantin Marks the 2027 Year of the Goat with Two Métiers d'Art Watches

Vacheron Constantin has introduced two Métiers d'Art watches celebrating the Chinese Year of the Goat, which begins in 2027. Presented in late October 2026, the new editions are offered in 18K pink gold and 950 platinum. Each reference is limited to 25 pieces, combining a hand-engraved goat sculpture with miniature enamel painting and an automatic mechanical movement that displays the time without conventional hands.
A sculpted dial with enamelled scenery
The Métiers d'Art The Legend of the Chinese Zodiac collection uses the dial as a miniature decorative composition. On the pink-gold version, a raised goat carved and engraved in pink gold stands among rocks and foliage. Colour is added through hand-finished enamel work over a graduated background. The platinum edition employs a white-gold goat and a cooler palette, matching the different character of the case metal.
The watch's main mechanical indicators are moved away from the central scene. Hours and minutes appear in apertures along the upper part of the dial, while the weekday and date are shown in two lower windows. Their colours are coordinated with the enamel background. The arrangement leaves the goat and landscape unobstructed by traditional hour and minute hands.
Both versions use a 40 mm round case, 12.72 mm thick, with a sapphire crystal caseback. The pink-gold watch is fitted with a dark-brown alligator strap, and the platinum edition has a dark-blue alligator strap. Water resistance is rated at 3 bar, equivalent to approximately 30 metres.
Calibre 2460 G4/3 and four peripheral indications
The two watches are powered by Vacheron Constantin's self-winding calibre 2460 G4/3. It has 237 components, 27 jewels and a 40-hour power reserve, running at 28,800 vibrations per hour. A 22K gold oscillating weight can be seen through the transparent caseback.
The movement is associated with the Hallmark of Geneva. Its display system separates the two time indications from the calendar information, using four apertures instead of pointers across the centre. This movement architecture is integral to the zodiac watch's decorative design: the primary dial artwork occupies the space normally taken by hands and hour markers.

Part of a continuing Chinese zodiac series
Vacheron Constantin has revisited the animals of the Chinese zodiac through its Métiers d'Art watchmaking programme for several years. The Year of the Goat additions continue that approach, putting engraving and enamel work at the centre of the design while using a specialised in-house movement to preserve space for the artwork.
The new references are mechanically alike. The choice between them concerns case metal, the colour and material of the applied goat, the enamel composition and the matching strap. Both celebrate the forthcoming zodiac year rather than a new movement family.
