A perfect masterpiece Patrimony Traditionnelle 14-day Tourbillon by Vacheron Constantin
Watchmaker Vacheron Constantin has introduced its first model of wrist watch Patrimony Traditionnelle 14-day Tourbillon according to new criteria of the Geneva Hallmarks. Under the new criteria for certification watches will not be tested only in movement quality, but will take into account the accuracy and power reserve and water-resistant.
An elegant model is created based on the developed by Vacheron Constantin a new caliber 2260 with 14-day power reserve. Demonstrating in a new product the main watch complication in the form of the tourbillion the company Vacheron Constantin has shown its unique capabilities, the skill and know-how. The high technical content has focused on a combination of performance and aesthetic appeal.
To achieve the 14-day power reserve, the new gauge was equipped with four barrels arranged in pairs. They joined together and simultaneously unwound, but the process takes four times slower than in the presence of one barrel. The length of the spirals is 2.20 meters, and each has about 13 curls. The mechanism comprises 231 components and has 18 800 vph. Unlike the previous model, the new tourbillon is mounted on two large bridges. The huge surface thus allows focusing on finishing a mechanism which is decorated with a pattern Côtes de Genève. On the tourbillon is set Maltese cross, giving it a magnificent view.
Tourbillon is ideally combined with an indicator of small second hand at 6 o'clock position. The function of the displaying hours and minutes are slightly displaced from the center of the dial, and the power reserve indicator is located at the position of 12 hours. The convenient location of the indicators makes it easy to read data.
The design of the novelty reflects the traditions of minimalism, purism bordering, and strict standards of quality. Thin bezel, case with a corrugated surface, transparent back with sapphire crystal, faceted hour markers of 5N rose gold and the hands in the style of Dauphine, as well as silver, perfectly finished dial - everything bears the stamp of restraint and elegance inherent in the company Vacheron Constantin.
The case has a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 12.20 mm. The watch water-resistant is up to 30 meters. At the periphery the dial is marked by minute and second scales.
A brown strap of the novelty is made of Mississippi alligator leather, sewn by hand and fitted with a folding clasp in rose gold 5N.
