Sleek New Year of the Snake Watch by Vacheron Constantin
One of the oldest Swiss watch brands Vacheron Constantin, known in the watch market with its incomparable models, has released a new Legend of the Chinese Zodiac line, which is a part of the Métiers d'Art collection.
The new line, called Legend of the Chinese Zodiac, is stylistically based on the 12-year-old Chinese calendar cycle. It combines intricate embellishments of the dial with Haute Horlogerie.
Therefore, the company Vacheron Constantin presents the first model from the line - the Year of the Snake watch. The novelty is released in two versions: with a case made of platinum (Ref. 86073/000P-9752) and in 18-carat rose gold (Ref. 86073/000R-9751).

The case in both variants is round polished, its diameter is 40 mm and thickness - 12.74 mm. The dial in 18-carat pink gold is coated with enamel «Grand Feu» in blue or bronze tint. In the center of the dial is a perspective view of a snake around of which is depicted leaves. The original image of a snake, engraved by hand, is made of platinum or gold.
The dial is original with not only by the image of a snake; it attracts attention with the absence of the hands. A sapphire crystal protects the dial.
Located at the "3 o'clock" position, the crown is decorated with the brand’s logo - the Maltese cross.

Crafting the scales of the snake represents at least 30 hours of work
The Year of the Snake watch is collected on the base of the manufacturing automatic caliber Vacheron Constantin 2460 G4. The mechanism consists of 237 components, in a diameter of 31 mm and thickness - 6.05 mm. The caliber is collected on the 27 jewels, has a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, 40-hour power reserve, as well as functions: hours - in the aperture between the indices 10 and 11, minutes - in the aperture between the indices 1 and 2, the date - in the aperture between indices 4 and 5, the day of the week - in the aperture between the indices 7 and 8.
An elegant blue or brown alligator strap with a buckle in platinum and 18-carat pink gold complements the novelty.
