IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35 Gets a New "Pool" Dial

IWC Schaffhausen has added a new colour to its smallest Ingenieur. The Ingenieur Automatic 35 (Ref. IW324902) now comes with a dial in a shade IWC calls "Pool". Creative Director Christian Knoop describes it as "a fresh, radiant aquatic shade".
A growing 35 mm collection
With this model, the 35 mm Ingenieur line now includes six references. Two of them were introduced at Watches and Wonders Geneva earlier in 2026: one with a diamond-set 18-carat 5N gold bezel (Ref. IW324911) and one with a deep blue dial (Ref. IW324907). The larger Ingenieur Automatic 40, launched in 2023, is the parent model of the modern collection.
Like the whole line, the watch draws on Gérald Genta's Ingenieur SL, Ref. 1832, from 1976 and its integrated bracelet. IWC recently marked the model's 50th birthday with two limited editions; read our news on the Ingenieur SL 50th anniversary.

Grid dial and five-screw bezel
The Pool dial has the Ingenieur's "Grid" pattern of small lines and squares. The rhodium-plated hands and applied indices are filled with Super-LumiNova®. The stainless steel case combines satin-finished and polished surfaces, and the bezel is fixed to the case ring with five functional screws. The crown is engraved "Probus Scafusia", IWC's motto.
The integrated steel bracelet is attached through its middle links, with polished centre links between satin-finished H-links.
Visible movement
The watch is powered by the IWC calibre 47110, an automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve. It is visible through a sapphire case back and decorated with circular graining, Geneva stripes and a gold-plated oscillating weight.
