Name of the collection is chosen by chance. Graduates of the School of Marine fighter pilots of the U.S. Air Force join the ranks of the elite U.S. flying. TOP GUN is their logo, which later became the title of IWC new collection.
The simple and clear design of the Big Pilot's Watch TOP GUN is made in the style of on-board equipment of the 1940s with a mix of modern watch technology of the 21st century. New materials and components, applied in the design of the novelty, will not leave anyone indifferent. The round black case of the model with a diameter of 48 mm and 15 mm thick is made of ceramic. On the black dial look very nicely white Arabic numerals, as well as the original second hand in bright red color in the form of a fighter. It should be noted that all models of the line TOP GUN are equipped with a red hand. In addition, the typical for the watch of this collection is the usage of high-tech materials such as zirconium oxide, which provides water resistance up to 6 bars, solid titanium, from which crowns are made, as well as textile straps that hold the watch on a wrist.
The black dial, equipped with a date aperture at the 6 o’clock position and the power reserve indicator at the 3 o’clock position is closed by a double-sided antiglare convex sapphire crystal. Glass is protected from sudden changes in pressure. At the 3 o’clock position there is a screw-down crown. On the back of the watch there is the emblem of TOP GUN. The watch is delivered on a black textile strap with a buckle made of stainless steel with sandblasting. The watch water resistant - 6 bar.
The model is equipped by a manufactory mechanism 51,111 with automatic winding. The mechanism, consisted of 311 components, assembled by 42 jewels, the frequency - 21,600 vibrations per hour, power reserve - 168 hours, is equipped with features of hours, minutes, seconds, date display and power reserve.
