IWC and Zinedine Zidane under the same sail

The star of world football Zinedine Zidane has already quite a long time known in the watch world with his cooperation with the IWC. And now, Zidane became a member of a sailing regatta called Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012, which started in Alicante, Spain.

The watch company IWC Schaffhausen watch is a sponsor of participating in this regatta team Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing, the ranks of which joined a famous footballer. As a result, the chances of winning this team seem to grow: Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing have not only a powerful sponsor in the person of the Swiss watch company, but also the global celebrity on board, that no doubt bodes a good luck.

As promised, the start of the race was marked by the presentation of new wristwatch Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012. By the way Zinedine Zidane himself in 2008 took part in the creation of watches IWC, released in a limited edition of 1000 copies. Since Zidane became the ambassador of the brand worldwide.
