Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 101 Chain: Gold, Diamonds and HyCeram

Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced the Calibre 101 Chain (ref. Q2842270), an 18K pink gold bangle watch set with 158 diamonds and bands of black HyCeram around the hand-wound Calibre 101. It was presented on October 13, 2026, together with The Collectibles exhibition in Hong Kong. The price is on request.
A 1955 bracelet as the starting point
The design is based on a 1955 Duoplan watch nicknamed "Chain" for its heavy braided gold links. This time the designers started with the bracelet and its gem-setting and fitted the case and movement into it afterwards. Diagonal bands of brilliant-cut diamonds alternate with black HyCeram, a glossy ceramic composite. Each bangle has its own mold: liquid HyCeram is injected into the cavities, cured and polished, and the diamonds are set in the manufacture's Métiers Rares workshop.

Calibre 101
The rectangular watch case measures 18.60 × 5.98 mm and has a black lacquer dial with hours and minutes. Calibre 101 is wound by hand, has 98 components and a 33-hour power reserve. Jaeger-LeCoultre dates its architecture to 1929. According to Hodinkee Japan, the movement measures 14 × 4.8 × 3.4 mm and weighs about one gram.
