SIHH 2013: New Ultra-thin Watch by Jaeger-LeCoultre

The company Jaeger-LeCoultre has set new standards in the rank of ultrathin watches, releasing the classic model of Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Jubilee, designed on the model of handheld counterparts in 1907. Thickness is only 5.4 mm thick! It is, in fact, the finest watches, created by the Swiss manufacturer.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Jubilee - a modern interpretation of the actual classics: a round polished case, a concisely designed dial, on which time round and round rushes into eternity. For its indication are used central hands showing the hours and minutes. Oblong hour markers, interspersed with minute scale, form a visually harmonious, repeating pattern. The minimalist design of the watch is a striking proof that true beauty does not need too much pretentiousness.

The corresponding mechanism JLC Calibre 849 with 1.85 mm thick was created for the ultra-slim case. Producing of such thin caliber required minimizing details of the mechanism, but "minimizing" was conducted with the functional safety.
