Grande Reverso Tribute to 1931 by Jaeger-LeCoultre at the SIHH 2012
At the annual Salon Haute Horlogerie SIHH 2012 the company Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced the Grande Reverso Tribute to 1931 watch, the production of which is dedicated to the opening of another brand’s store in Milan.
Last year, the Swiss manufacture celebrated the 80th anniversary of his legendary Grande Reverso issue, created for the English polo players. For celebrating the anniversary the company has released several new models.
The technology, presented at the exhibition, exactly duplicates the design of commemorative models. The rectangular case in dimensions of 46 x 27, 5 mm is made of stainless steel, the succinctly designed dial is protected by a strong sapphire glass. From the commemorative models the Grande Reverso Tribute to 1931 watch differs with the bright red dial, hinting at the popularity of bright colors in the 1930s. On the outer circumference the dial is graded by the red minute scale, on which are marked hour markers. Hours and minutes are displayed by central hands.
The watch is accomplished by the manufactory movement with manual winding Jaeger-LeCoultre 822, consisting of 134 parts. The reliable and durable caliber works with a frequency of 21 600 pc / h, power reserve is 45 hours. The mechanism is tested by 1,000-hour monitoring system. This is evidenced by the inscription "1000 Hours Control», made on the watch case back.
The model is available on a black alligator leather strap with a buckle made of stainless steel.
To buy the Grande Reverso Tribute to 1931 watch is possible exclusively in boutiques of Jaeger-LeCoultre.
