A New Reverso Rouge

The full name of the new item - Grande Reverso 1931 Rouge. The watch represents the flagship model of the Jaeger-LeCoultre line, but this time with a red dial. This year the collection of Reverso celebrates its 80th anniversary and almost the entire year is repleted with novelties of this series. At the end of 2011 the watch company Jaeger-LeCoultre has decided to pay tribute to the history by the release of this model.

Why is Grande Reverso Rouge 1931 a tribute to history? Part of the answer is encoded in its title. The fact is that when in the 30s of last century the series Reverso became popular, particularly fashionable were watches with colored dials. Basically Reverso were produced in black, cream or white dial, but the true dandy preferred to watches with the "red face".

The new Grande Reverso Rouge 1931 also has a red dial. On the dial are only two hands - the hour and minute. Its course provides a caliber Jaeger-LeCoultre 822, which thickness is only 2.94 mm. However, the case is slightly thicker - 7.27 mm, since the watch Reverso is always a great tipping design, which you can turn the dial down without taking off the hands.

Rouge Grande Reverso 1931 has 45 hours of reserve course. The case dimensions are 46x27 mm.
The watch is available on a black crocodile leather strap.

Originally the tipping Reverso watch was designed for polo players - not to damage or soil the glass over the dial, but the same time, at any moment to be able to comfortably and easily find the current time.
