Slim bezel with beveled corners, on the other hand, inspired by the legendary design Porsche design Ocean 2000 1982 year.

From a technical standpoint, a newly developed external/internal rotating bezel is a remarkable step forward in the evolution of diving watches IWC. For nearly half a century, watches by Schaffhausen Aquatimers were equipped with either an internal or an external rotating bezel. One of the main features of diving watches is the possibility immediately see how much time you've already under water, and calculate how long you have enough of compressed air. To facilitate this task, the triangle marks the beginning of the dive, the zero mark is synchronized with the minute hand. Now dive time can be read accurately on the scale. On the inner rotating bezel in earlier models, the zero mark was established by a second crown at 4 o'clock position: it was almost impossible to move the bezel accident. In addition, the fluorescent coating under windshield perfectly protected from dirt and scratches.
On the other hand, the crown is not as easy to install as an external rotating bezel. Masters of IWC chose outer bezel for security reasons, which can only be moved counterclockwise. This means that if the diver bezel will move randomly, it can be concluded that diver was under the water for too long and should soon return to the surface. New internal/external rotating bezel with a system IWC SafeDive in collection Aquatimer 2014 combines ease of use with security. External rotation of the bezel is performed by a patented system clutch of rotating bezel with the triangle mark and the timeline dive on the inside of the case.

Increased resistance to pressure from 12 bar to 30 bar provides greater security when diving to great depths. Aquatimer Chronograph watch is based on the mechanism of the chronograph 79320 with power reserve 44 hours. The watch case with 44 mm in diameter is made of stainless steel.
New patented bracelet with system of quick change differs at practicality. The bracelet can be easily changed to a rubber strap and vice versa.
