A New Rotonde de Cartier Minute Repeater Flying Tourbillon by Cartier
The watch company Cartier has announced the issue of new watch model Rotonde de Cartier Minute Repeater Flying Tourbillon, a world premiere will be held at the upcoming SIHH-2012. The novelty is the result of five years researching and development of the brand specialist.
The classic round case of the novelty in 18-carat pink gold or titanium has a diameter of 45 mm. The watch water-resistant is up to 30 meters. The crown, located at the position of 3 hour, is inlaid with gold or titanium beads and protected by the sapphire cabochon. At the position of 8 o’clock is placed the control lever of the repeater. The case on the top is equipped with a sapphire crystal that serves as a transparent case back.
Silver-white dial, guilloched with graceful pattern, contrasts with black Roman numerals and blued sword-shaped hands. The flying tourbillon cage is mounted on the dial at 12 o'clock position, opposite which, at the position of 6 o'clock, the minute repeater is located.
In the case is built a manufactory manual winding movement 9402 MC. The caliber diameter is 39.7 mm, thickness - 9.58 mm. The mechanism on the 47 jewels includes 447 components. The caliber is marked by the "Geneva Seal." Indication of hours, minutes and seconds are implemented by the relevant central hands.
The black strap is made of crocodile skin with buckle in 18 carat rose or white gold.
Rotonde de Cartier Minute Repeater Flying Tourbillon will be issued in a limited edition of 50 items with titanium cases and 50 items with case made of pink gold. It is also released a version with the case, decorated with baguette diamonds.
