Grande Reverso Blue Enamel by Jaeger-LeCoultre at the SIHH 2012
Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre at the annual exhibition SIHH 2012 has introduced a new version of the legendary watch Grande Reverso - Blue Enamel (Ref. Q373 35 E1).
Grande Reverso collection, created in 1931 for the British polo players, has become one of the most popular in the brand’s range. Last year, the Swiss manufacture celebrated the 80th anniversary of the iconic watch with the case, the inversion and released several new models, in which is easily recognizable the "genetic code" of the collection. The design of the models Grande Reverso is built on a combination of smooth lines and sharp geometric shapes: a rectangular case, elegant fixtures, connecting the strap and the case in a whole.
The novelty, presented at the exhibition, has a relatively large case (48.5 × 30 × 10.2), made of precious white gold. The elegant shape and silver color of the case emphasize the beauty of monochrome enamel dial.
Enamel in a bright blue color is obtained by means of hot firing (at 800 ° C) and applied on the engraved basis of the white gold.
When working with enamel, the brand’s masters are used gold as the basis, which is not the subject to oxidation and does not contain impurities that could eventually change the color of the enamel coating.
On the blue enamel dial in contrast stand out Arabic digital markings and graded minute scale. Hours and minutes point the central hands, no extra features.
The watch is assembled on the basis of the manufacturing movement with manual winding Jaeger-LeCoultre 822, consisting of 134 parts. Reliable and durable caliber works with the frequency of 21 600 pc / h, power reserve - 45 hours.
The model is released in a limited edition: to buy the watch is available only for 50 fans of art lovers.
