À New Girard-Perregaux 1966 Small Second - the harmony of symmetry
The watch brand Girard-Perregaux is always in search and development, but it never departs from the tradition passed to its inheritance. To underline its commitment, the company has introduced a new watch model Girard-Perregaux 1966 Small Second, done in the traditional style of eternal classics. Issuance of the novelty the company Girard-Perregaux pays tribute to the brand’s pocket watch of the 19th century.
The watch case in diameter of 38 mm and a thickness of 8.59 mm is made of pink gold. The front side has a convex sapphire crystal. On the curved case back it is present an engraving with the inscription in honor of the 220th anniversary of Girard-Perregaux. The watch water-resistant is up to 30 meters.
The dial is decorated with hand-grained trim. Ideally symmetrical and readable, the dial is characterized by large Arabic numerals and minute scale as the railway track. Time is indexed on the dial by means of the central blued hour and minute hands. The indicator of a small second hand is at 9 o'clock position. Parallel to it in the position of 3:00 the date aperture is set. The inscription at the bottom of the dial Maison Fondee en 1791, which means "founded in 1791," is a colorful reminder of the company’s origins.
The model is based on the manufacturing automatic mechanical mechanism GP03300. The mechanism is paved with 28 stones, has a 46-hour power reserve and the balance frequency 28,800 vph.
The strap is made of genuine crocodile leather with a buckle in pink gold.
The model is released in a limited number of 100 copies.
