Young Watchmakers` Tour in Paris with Girard-Perregaux
Girard-Perregaux, an iconic maker of high-end Swiss watch presented young and perspective watch makers in its journal The New Face of Tradition. There is told about their work in shops and also passions and interests. Beginning in New York City, the Young Watchmakers` Tour took place in Beijing. There was presented a journal The New Face of Tradition, the visitors had an opportunity to look at the best watch exemplars made by young watchmakers. The third stop of the Young Watchmakers` Tour will continue in Paris. The judges of elite watches will get together I n such a wonderful place to look at the young watchmakers` work.
The Young Watchmakers` Tour will have three basic parts:
Tradition – visitors will have an opportunity to admire he Esmeralda pocket-watch , winner of the Gold Medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889 and the Vintage 1945 Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges. Willy Schweizer, the curator of the Girard-Perregaux Museum will tell about watches and their history for all comers.

Expertise part will give you an opportunity to visit five workshops, where you can put yourself into a watchmaker`s shoes. Also all the visitors will be able to see the process of watchmaking.
The final part called new faces will introduce three young watchmakers, who tell about their interests and passions. For example, Alexandre Toimil, a good guitarist and drummer, will talk about both his work and his other passions, and Laila Tissot will tell that she likes oriental cuisine and dancing.
Furthermore, a very famous watchmaker Dominique Loiseau will join the Girard-Perregaux Young Watchmakers to tell about his wonderful work.
