New 1966 Chronograph Watch by Girard-Perregaux
Swiss watch manufacture Girard-Perregaux in April of 2012 has announced a new model - 1966 Chronograph.
The novelty is the latest addition of the Girard-Perregaux 1966 collection. The collection was dedicated to the most important event in the history of watch manufacture: in 1966 the company introduced the first high-frequency mechanism Gyromatic HF Caliber 16611, which provided an exceptional accuracy. In 1967, 73% of the mechanisms that have received chronometer certification from the Neuchatel Observatory were the models Gyromatic HF from the company Girard-Perregaux.

new classic model 1966 Chronograph
Elegant restrained design of the model immediately attracts attention. The new classical model 1966 Chronograph is presented in a circular case with a diameter of 42 mm in 18-carat pink gold. Silvered dial features Arabic numerals and three central hands, the leaf-shaped hour and minute hands, as the figures are made of pink gold. To enhance the classic design, the master of the company settled on a traditional chronograph with 60-second and 30-minute counter at the hour markers "3" and "9", respectively, as well as a circular tachometer scale. At the 6 o’clock position is a square aperture of date. This design of the dial makes it easy to determine the time without any difficulty.
The dial is protected by an anti-glare sapphire crystal. The back side of the model is also protected by a sapphire glass, through which is seen a manufactory caliber 3300-0057. The mechanism is assembled on 57 precious jewels, equipped with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and power reserve of 46 hours.
The novelty 1966 Chronograph is delivered on a black leather strap with an Ardillon buckle in pink gold. The watch water resistant is 30 meters.
