The known German watchmaker A.Lange & Söhne for the fourth time (after 2007, 2009 and 2011) led the ranking of the German luxury- brands.
Brands of "luxury" class are identified by the WirtschaftsWoche publication in collaboration with the Munich company Brand Networks and firm Biesalski & Company. The brands Glashütte Original and Porsche are also involved in the list.

The brand Maybach is dropped of the new rating due to the termination of production. From 4 to 6 took place in the ranking: music systems manufacturer Burmeister, kitchens manufacturer Bulthaup, appliance manufacturer Gaggenau. The seventh place was a manufacturer of musical systems T + A. The eighth place went to Chronoswiss. The brand Leica “jumped" to the 9th place from the 35th position.
In addition to pricing, the rating is determined by taking into account the attractiveness of brands from the perspective of consumers.
