SIHH 2013: Saxonia Annual Calendar by A.Lange & Sohne
German company A.Lange & Sohne at the annual Salon of Haute Horlogerie SIHH 2013 has introduced a new version of the model, Saxonia Annual Calendar, which has become a model of technical excellence in the category of watches with calendar function. The novelty is presented in a case of platinum (previous versions were offered in the case of the pink and white gold).

The watch is designed on the basis of the manufacturing movement L085.1 SAX-0-MAT with the calendar module, change-pointers with the duration of months. Calendaring device must be adjusted only once a year - the last day of February to the first day of March. Date, day of week, month and moon phases are harmoniously integrated into the dial. Thanks to the rhombic arrangement they do not overlap each other and do not make it difficult reading. Double date aperture is located at 12 o'clock position, and the pointers of the day of the week, month and moon phases are located at 9, 3 and 6 o’clock positions, respectively. The perfectly balanced dial with polished baguette hour markers and precise minute scale – is an evidence that beauty - a consequence of the functional integrity. Combining a conceptual approach to the design of watches with innovative engineering, the masters of German manufactory opened a new milestone in modern design and technology.

Energy source of the SAXONIA ANNUAL CALENDAR watch - one of the most complex automatic mechanisms of the last generation - caliber L085.1 SAX-0-MAT. Zero in its name indicates the presence of the patented features ZERO-RESET, which when pulled out the crown automatically places the second hand to zero. The mechanism runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, power reserve is 46 hours. The caliber is designed and assembled in the workshops of the company, tuning accuracy is produced in five positions. Details of the mechanism are decorated according to the canons of Glashütte in Saxony and the requirements of Haute Horlogerie. The gorgeous trim is clearly visible through the transparent back cover.
