SIHH-2014: Richard Lange Perpetual Calendar ''Terraluna'' by A. Lange & Sohne
At the Geneva watch exhibition SIHH- 2014, the company A. Lange & Sohne has presented a true masterpiece of watchmaking - the Richard Lange Perpetual Calendar "Terraluna" watch. The novelty combines the inherent characteristics of the brand, as the precision, creativity and an impeccable design.

Providing a 336 -hour power reserve, a unique caliber of the model is equipped with devices of the orbital moon phase indicator, perpetual calendar with large displays of date and reserve with constant tension.

Made of pink or white gold, the case with a diameter of 45.5 mm frames the dial of the regulatory structure that is characteristic for dials of scientific chronometers. The large minute scale is placed at the top of the dial. Intended to indicate the hours and seconds smaller scale is placed on the right and left at the bottom of the dial. Indices of the day of week and month are located under the double date aperture.

On the backside of the caliber is placed innovative three-component pointer of the lunar phases, showing the location of the moon on the first disc with respect to the Earth and the Sun. In the caliber, the duration of lunar (synodic) month is 29 days, 12 hours and 44 minutes and 3 seconds, and it is so precise that its correction only need one day in 1058 years. The lunar disc with two round full moons is important to track changes consistent lunar phases. Sun acts as a balance mechanism on that the astronomical map.
Two barrels of the mechanism provide a two-week reserve.
The new manufacturing caliber L096.1 with firm coil operates at a frequency of 21600 pc / h. Bridges of the balance and movement parts are decorated with hand-engraved.
