Polish watch site Chronos24.pl held a contest for the best chronometers passing in 2011. The jury chose the best watches in six categories, and the seventh winner (Public prize) was determined on the basis of online voting. Just the best of the best watches were awarded the Grand Prix. And of course they do not forget to choose an outstanding leader of the watch sphere.

As a result of the competition the following categories of watches are represented:

The best is the complicated Patek Philippe Triple Complication Ref.5208P watch.
This model has got to the boundary as the best of the best.
The Patek Philippe Triple Complication Ref.5208P watch has an automatic R CH 27 PS QI, completed with minute repeater, date (at the "12 o'clock"), day of week (between the marks, "10 and 11 o’clock") and month (between the marks " 1 and 2 o'clock "), as well as the phases of the moon (" 6 o’clock ") with a small second hand. In addition the model is equipped with a chronograph, which small dials are on the left and right of the central hand. The 12-hour chronometric counter contains a circular window of the day/night, and a 60-minute - in a leap year, the aperture of a leap year. Power reserve is 48 hours. The mechanism consists of 701 components, including the 58 jewels. The buttons of the perpetual calendar corrections are set on the case sides, between the lugs for the strap.

Patek Philippe Triple Complication Ref.5208P watch has a 42-mm platinum case. Dial is of gray-silver color. Despite the large number of additional features, Patek Philippe managed to maintain clarity and legibility of the excellent watch dial. That is, Triple Complication looks quite succinctly, despite the huge amount of additional indication - this was the deciding factor for awarding it the title of "best complicated watch." In addition, for the first time in watch Grand Complication are used silicon components for the controller running. Certainly in the future, this Patek Philippe watch will be the next leader of the auction.

The choice of Internet users went to the model IWC Portuguese Siderale Scafusia.
This unique model was presented in August of 2011 in the Chilean Space Observatory Paranal. The watch has a 46-mm platinum case, black dial with a picture of the globe. Steel case with a diameter of 45.5 mm, inside of which is hidden an automatic El Primero 405B. The telemetry scale is located on the periphery of the dial, which practical properties have repeatedly been questioned. However, besides it the watch is luckily equipped with date display at the "6 o’clock" and chronograph function, which three counters are smoothly moving into each other. At the mark, "9 o’clock" is a 60-second pointer, "3 o’clock" - a 30-minute and "6 o’clock" is a 12-hour counter.

The best classical watch is a Laurent Ferrier Galet Micro-Rotor watch.
The model has a 40mm case made of white gold with automatic movement FBN 229.01. In accordance with the nomination the Laurent Ferrier Galet Micro-Rotor watch has only three hands (small seconds at around "6 o’clock"). Through the transparent case back can be seen a beautifully decorated mechanism. The dial and leather strap has a crocodile tobacco-brown color.

The best women's watches – the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Lady Ultra Thin watch was awarded to this title.

The uniqueness of its design is in the selected toxic green elements of the dial and the chronograph conceptuality is available in counting down the 1 / 1000 second. Within the model is set an automatic mechanism TH Flying Concept. The diameter of the titanium case is 45 mm.

Somewhat surprising choice was "an outstanding leader of the watch sphere 2011" - he was deceased in 2010 Nicolas Hayek. However, despite the fact that this year Nicolas Hayek personally did not have time to do anything, one way or another, that person is really worthy of the title of an outstanding leader.
