In 1848, in Switzerland in the town of La Chaux-de-Fonds was founded watch manufacture «Louis Brandt & Fills». It was founded by the 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled watches from parts that he supplied the local artisans during the winter. The company was a workshop for the assembling watches.
