Thomas Bach and Nicolas Hayek Opened OMEGA Pavilion in the Olympic Park
A few days before the official start of the Olympic Games in Sochi 2014, OMEGA inaugurated a pavilion in the Olympic Park. The ceremony was attended by the head of Swatch Group Nicolas Hayek, the president of OMEGA Stephen Urquhart, president of the IOC Thomas Bach and the legendary swimmer Alexander Popov.

The guests toured the pavilion, visited the exhibition of the chronometer equipment and personally tested the bobsled simulator OMEGA.
Mr. Hayek greeted journalists and guests of the OMEGA pavilion, spoke about the long-term cooperation and contribution of the brand in the organization of the Olympic Games: "We are here for the sake of the athletes and sports. It is not about politics, but in the emotions that we get from the sport. We are proud to have the opportunity to participate in the creation of the Olympic Games - a grand show for the billions of people around the world."
Mr. Bach noted the special role of OMEGA, as an official timekeeper.

OMEGA pavilion
At the time of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, a two-storey building, which grew in the Olympic Park as if by magic, become the seat of the brand OMEGA.
