BaselWorld 2012: Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph Ceragold Watch by Omega
In 2011 the Swiss watchmaker Omega enriched the Planet Ocean collection with new models. This year the collection is supplemented by a great novelty Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph Ceragold, which was presented at the annual exhibition BaselWorld 2012.
The watch is equipped by a ceramic bezel with a diver's scale of innovative material Ceragold.
The watch has the characteristics necessary for use by professional divers, including a unidirectional rotating bezel and a helium valve.
The new chronograph has a round case in diameter of 45.50 mm, made of 18 carat red gold. The original element in the design of the watch is the polished black ceramic bezel, contrasting dramatically with the scale of the diving from the material Ceragold.
The lacquered black dial of the watch has hour indices of 18-carat red gold, coated with a luminescent substance, three hands from polished 18-carat red gold. 12-hour counter is located at 3 o’clock position, and 60-minute counter – at the 9 o’clock position. A small date aperture is at the 6 o’clock position. The black dial is protected by a sapphire crystal.
The Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph Ceragold watch is collected on the basis of the manufacturing coaxial mechanism 9301, characterized by a luxurious finish, including the rotor and the balance bridge of the 18-carat red gold, screws, barrel and the black balance. The unique caliber allows you to change the position of the hour hand, while not affecting the operation of minutes or second’s hand. This makes it easier for travelers to switch from one time zone to another. The coaxial mechanism is equipped with a silicon balancing spring.
To buy the Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph Ceragold watch will be available on a black leather strap with a folding clasp in 18 carat red gold.
The watch water resistant is 600 meters.
