TB88 Timepiece by Arnold & Son
The watch company Arnold & Son has pleased the fans with a novelty TB888. The letters “TB”, present in the model name, indicate “True Beat” - the complication in a mechanical watch. It is as follows: the second hand does not move smoothly visually, i.e. frequency of 6-8 movements per second, and jumps as on quartz watches - one jump per second. Most of the time the hand is in place, and when the seconds have passed, it jumps exactly one scale division. Otherwise, such a complication is called "dead seconds". It was popular in the 18-19 centuries and has been used in marine chronometers.
The new TB88 watch is available in two versions: in a case of 18 - carat pink gold or stainless steel. The case in both versions is round; its diameter is 46 mm. Water-resistant - 30 meters.
The skeletonized dial, showing the details of the mechanism, is equipped with central hour and minute hands. At the 7 o`clock position is a window with the second`s hand. An analog power reserve indicator is located at the 5 o`clock position. On the front side of the case and its back cover is installed a sapphire.
The model is assembled on the base of the caliber with manual winding A & S5003 with a diameter of 37 mm and a thickness of 5.9 mm, 32 jewels, with a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour, two barrels, a 100- hour power reserve, functions of hours, minutes, seconds and power reserve.
The watch comes on a black alligator strap with a buckle in 18- carat pink gold or stainless steel.
To buy the TB88 watch by Arnold & Son is available in a gold case at a price of 48 000 Euros, and in stainless steel - 33 300 Euros.
