TE8 Tourbillon Watch by Arnold & Son at BaselWorld 2012

At the annual exhibition BaselWorld 2012 the British company Arnold & Son has presented one of his most beautiful and technically advanced models - TE8 Tourbillon watch, equipped with an elegant complexity - a tourbillon.
Tourbillon is considered to be not only the most beautiful watch complications, but also the most difficult: it is making very difficult and requires from the watchmakers exceptional skill and ingenuity.
Sir John Arnold, who founded the company Arnold & Son and made a great contribution to the study of timekeeping, collaborated with Abraham-Louis Breguet and was directly related to the invention of the tourbillion. The talented watchmakers together solved the problem of the balance temperature compensation and to reduce the positional errors. According to some sources, Breguet Tourbillon created a stunning design, based on the theoretical developments of John Arnold.
The John Arnold No.11 watch, which was installed into the first tourbillion Abraham-Louis Breguet, serves as an unambiguous indication of the involvement of Sir John Arnold to the invention of the tourbillion.

And up to this day the tourbillion is considered the supreme watch complication, demonstrating the skill and experience of watchmakers.
Model TE8 Tourbillon is completed with the so-called "inverted" tourbillion, the technical elements of which are visible from the dial.
The watch is collected on the basis of the mechanism with manual winding A & S8000 (diameter - 32.6 mm, thickness - 6.25 mm, 19 jewels, the frequency of balance oscillation - 21 600 pc / h, power reserve - 80 hours), and features indicating hours and minutes. Functionality and aesthetic appeal of the mechanism is in perfect harmony with the restrained styling of the elegant case from white gold.
The watch dial, on which are symmetrically located the tourbillion carriage and the window, showed the part of the mechanism, is decorated with a wave pattern.
The model is released in two versions:
TE8 Tourbillon Ref.1SJAP.G01A.C21A - dial and mechanism - in pink gold, brown belt – from alligator leather.
TE8 Tourbillon Ref. 1SJAP.B01A.C113A - dial and mechanism - rose gold with black ruthenium coating, black belt - from alligator leather.
The watch is released in a limited edition, each version of the 25 instances.
