HMS Lady Watch by Arnold & Son at BaselWorld 2012
The British company Arnold & Son at the annual exhibition BaselWorld 2012 has introduced the classic women's watch HMS Lady, created by the prototype of the male counterparts.
In recent years, many watch companies focus on the manufacture of women's mechanical watches. It is difficult to say what caused it: perhaps the fair sex is interested in the watch mechanics, and maybe the whole thing is in fashion for big timepieces...
For the better half of humanity were created the most complicated watches with complications and bright, extravagant decor.
The watch company Arnold & Son has decided to move away from the rare "museum" complications and submitted the monofunctional women's watches with a classic concise design.
The models with elegant, traditional design, clear shapes and clean lines have become the classics of art of watchmaking, they never lose their relevance and charm, because the real elegance and femininity are eternal and not dependent on fashion trends.
The HMS Lady watch is presented in the case of 18K pink gold. The dial has a simple system: the central hands indicate hours and minutes, the seconds hand is put out on a small dial at the 6 o’clock position. Along the contour of a circular disc are placed the oblong hour markers. The watch dial is protected by a durable sapphire crystal; the bezel is encrusted with 76 diamonds.

The model HMS Lady is collected on the basis of caliber with manual winding S1101 (diameter - 23.7 mm, thickness - 2.5 mm, 17 jewels, frequency of balance oscillation - 21.600 pc / h, power reserve - 42 hours). The mechanism is assembled and decorated by hand. The work of artfully decorated mechanism can be observed through the transparent case back.
The watches are available in two versions: HMS Lady Ref. 1PMMP.W01A.C114A comes on a brown strap, a HMS Lady Ref. 1PMMP.W01A.C119A – on a cherry strap.
The novelty is released in a limited edition of 100 items.
