Speedmaster Moonwatch Chronograph watch in orange gold
Presented in October this year the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Chronograph watch is released in the orange gold. The watch case is made of an alloy of 75% gold, 24% copper and 1% silver with platinum - so it turns into orange gold.
The case diameter is 44 mm; inside is mounted a watch mechanism calibre9301 with a coaxial escapement. The mechanism is perfectly visible through the transparent case back and finished with a decorative pattern "Cotes de Geneve in Arabesque".
The dial is covered with black enamel, and the bezel is made of black ceramic, which is marked by the tachometer scale. As the October model, the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Chronograph has instead of the traditional for the line 3 only three chronological counters. Counters are set at the position of "3 and 9 o'clock." But the watch is not lost its third counter - just the 12-hour counter has two hands at once: hour and minute. The place of a mark "6 o’clock" is occupied by the date window. Control buttons are located at the markers "2 and 4 o’clock," and the crown is almost entirely drowned in one of the case "wings", due to what it is provided the protection against accidental activation of hand control.
The black dial is much more contrast in harmony with the orange-gold elements, than steel one as in the previous Speedmaster.
Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Chronograph is delivered on a black alligator strap.
Additional name Moonwatch the watches from the Speedmaster line got after it in 1969 were on the moon with astronaut Buzz Aldrin and the Apollo 11 expedition.
