The central building of Zenith has been upgraded

The watch manufacture Zenith building was built in 1905. In August 2011, repairs in the central building of the factory are completed. The historic appearance of the building was saved, but the interior space was reorganized. In its original form was preserved facade of red brick, but the 400 windows, made in vintage style, have been completely refurbished and combines historic design and triple glazing. Between the giant windows are carved the names of Zenith and the three initials of the brand’s founder - Georges Favre-Jacot.

Metal construction left without changes, but the modern and environmentally friendly technology was used - insulation, air conditioning and humidity control. To improve communication between the various shops that are located in the building and are responsible for the metalworking, stamping, finishing, testing, assembly, debugging, putting a mechanism into the case and equipping watches complex functions, the interior space was reorganized.

Repair of the central building is only the first stage of a major project. By 2015, for the 150th anniversary of Zenith, the remaining 18 buildings will be fully upgraded.
