BaselWorld 2012: El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Watch by Zenith

Zenith - one of the oldest watch companies. Created by this brand watches are gorgeous both in its great design and mechanisms. One of these models is the new chronograph El Primero Chronomaster 1969, presented at the world exhibition BaselWorld 2012.
In the history of watchmaking the company Zenith has written a new chapter with the release in 1969 of the first automatic mechanism with integrated chronograph function - the legendary El Primero watch, the most accurate mechanical caliber with a frequency of 10 vibrations per second, capable of measuring time to within 1/10. The cult chronograph is original both with its technical characteristics and the design property. El Primero – a fashion watch with three small dials in different colors, located on the main dial, and bright red second hand, provided the enhanced readability of the testimony. This functional color scheme is retained in the design of the novelty - El Primero Chronomaster 1969.
42 mm round case of the model is made of steel and equipped with round buttons in vintage style. Silvered, decorated with ornaments in the form of sun, the dial is equipped with two counters - a 30-minute - at the 3 o’clock position and 12 – hour pointer - at the 6 o’clock position. Counters are made in dark blue or black anthracite color.

An innovative development of the company Zenith is a special window on the dial, which is placed above the "heart" of the exclusive mechanism. It should be noted that this item was one of the business card of the company Zenith. A small window with the ajar caliber at the 10 o’clock position is an important element of the El Primero 1969 watch design and provides an opportunity to enjoy the manufactory mechanism, which is now considered to be "the best caliber of production in the world."
The dial is equipped with overhead rodhium-plated faceted hour indices, hour and minute hands coated with luminous material SuperLuminova SLN C1. The dial is protected by an anti-glare double-sided sapphire crystal.
The novelty is equipped with a new automatic mechanism El Primero 4061, designed and manufactured in the workshops of Zenith. The caliber has an exceptionally high frequency oscillations of balance - 10 vibrations per second, or 36,000 vibrations per hour. This mechanism is capable of measuring time to within 1/10 second.
