Zenith and its historical watches at Blue Salon in Doha
Unique Zenith watch masterpieces, each of which represents a milestone in the stormy history of the brand, are now exhibited in the Qatari capital of Doha in the showroom Blue Salon. All the presented 18 models are permanent exhibits of the Zenith museum, based in Switzerland.

The exhibition consists of six antique pocket watches, the creation time of which takes us back to the origins of the company, when George Favre-Jacot founded Zenith brand 147 years ago. The exposition also includes 12 iconic models of watches and several models belonging to the well-known political figures.
An antique pocket Zenith watch, which was the personal watch of George Favre-Jacot, is also exhibited. Another unique masterpiece of the exhibition is the steel pocket watch, dating in the early 20th century. Luxurious watch is complicated by the function of time calendar, chronograph and moon phases. The exhibition presents unique movement Calibre 135, conceived by the legendary Ephrem Jobin.
But the most famous company watch of the Doha will certainly be the first wristwatch with Zenith El Primero with an automatic movement and a pocket watch to Mahatma Gandhi - the man who became a symbol of nonviolent politics. The silver pocket watch with alarm functions and keyless belonged to him. This exceptional mechanical movement with 15 jewels was sold several years ago at Antiquorum by a staggering price of $ 1.8 million, but in the end, the watch back to the ownership of the company and is exhibited at the Zenith Museum in Switzerland.
Another company’s masterpiece is owned by the 35th U.S. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. This classic watch with square case was issued in 1950.
