The famous watch company TAG Heuer has announced a 2012 year as “women's year”. At the world watches and jewelry exhibition BaselWorld 2012 has introduced a completely reworked Link collection, which from March is presented by the actress Cameron Diaz.

The novelty Mikrotourbillon embodied sports watches from the Carrera line, which was released in 1963. It is recognizable round case, made from titanium and pink gold. The model also retained function: chronograph with two counters that are at the 4 and 6 o’clock positions. The watch dial is divided into two parts: on the right side there are chronograph counters and on the left - with a tourbillon mechanism. The new Mikrotourbillon watch has two tourbillons, the first of which shows the speed at 28,800 beats per hour, and the second - with the speed of 360,000 beats per hour (50 hertz). This tourbillon is considered the fastest in the world.

The first part of the novelty’s name - Mikro, refers to the previous model Mikrotimer Flying 1000, presented in 2011 and earned the reputation of the fastest mechanical chronograph in the world. Creating the novelty Mikrotourbillon, the head of the design office of the brand Guy Semon faced to the task - to make the mechanism as quickly. The caliber, with which is equipped a model, consists of 439 components. It was fully assembled in the brand’s factory.
