Carrera 1887 SpaceX by TAG Heuer - to the 50th anniversary of the Swiss watches flight in space

Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first flight of Swiss watches in space. It was a modified model Heuer 2915A stopwatch, on the wrist of astronaut John Glenn during his space flight in 1962.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the TAG Heuer brand has released a new Carrera1887 SpaceX watch, which is named as a private company specializing in commercial space flight.

The novelty Carrera 1887 SpaceX is presented in a round stainless steel case. Matte white dial, equipped with black Arabic numerals, hour and minute hands, covered with fluorescent material, and two counters at positions of 12 and 6 o'clock, is protected by a sapphire crystal. Inside the counter at 6 o'clock is a small aperture of the date. At the 3 o'clock position there is the inscription “First Swiss watch in space”.
On the screwed backside is set a tinted sapphire glass with the logo SpaceX, as well as images of the launch vehicle Falcon 9 and the spacecraft Dragon.

The gorgeous model is equipped by a manufactory automatic caliber 1887 with functions: hours, minutes, seconds, date, and chronograph.
The novelty Carrera 1887 SpaceX comes on a brown leather strap with a stainless steel buckle.
The model is released in a limited edition - 2012 items. To buy a watch is available for $ 5800. They will be on sale in October 2012.
