TAG Heuer is expanding its production
The watch company TAG Heuer continues to deepen its industrial integration (especially with the increased rate after the reduction of Swatch Group supplies of mechanisms ETA and component parts). In the end, the company is planning to double the production of mechanical watches, due to its new manufacturing facilities opened in Shebaniah, the Swiss canton of Jura, where it will be created about 110 jobs. Fully the workshops will be put into operation by the end of next year. There, the company is planning to manufacture its own mechanisms Calibre 1887, which was presented to the public two years ago. Plus, the walls of a new production will be created an entirely new mechanism, which will complement the range of TAG Heuer watches of the highest level.
Four months after the acquisition of the company Artecad, which is a major Swiss manufacturer of dials for the men's and women's watches, located in Tramelane (Canton of Bern), the brand TAG Heuer has announced about its future capital investment: this time in a mechanical wristwatch with chronograph function - is the main priority of the company at this moment. Today the company TAG Heuer is the leader among the brands that offer high-precision wristwatches with chronograph functions - in particular due to such creations as the Calibre 1887 (the creation of the company was awarded the 2010 in the Geneva Petite Aiguille), Mikrograph 100 and finally Mikrotimer Flying 1000. And on the last exhibition BaselWorld the brand TAG Heuer has introduced Mikrogirder 10.000 Concept - a revolutionary high precision chronograph, which has a double tourbillon MikrotourbillonS.
In creation of its masterpieces the company TAG Heuer bought watch movements from such Swiss companies as ETA, Sellita, Soprod, Dubois-Depraz and Zenith, and then perfected it. However, the ETA announcement on the reduction of supply has recently been supported by Soames and the TAG Heuer watch company faced the need to create independently watch movements ... or cut production. It is due to the particular attention to the production development at the earliest possible time. Within a few weeks in Shebaniah it will begin construction of a production hall in the 2400 square meter area - soon they will produce, assemble and test new watches with chronograph function by TAG Heuer. It will be very, very important complement to existing in La Chaux-de-Fonds capacities of TAG Heuer. At this production there will be involved more than one hundred specialists of the highest class. There will move production of components for watches TAG Heuer, which will help to focus more on creating of cases, significantly increasing the production capacity of the company.
Nowadays the watch brand TAG Heuer is an active member of the Federation of Swiss Watchmakers and implements strategies to support Swiss-made production and create new levels of standards of the name "Swiss Made". Since late last year the non-renewable contract between Nivarox-FAR SA and TAG Heuer has expired, the company decided to combine the delivery from other Swiss manufacturers to produce accurate components, specially designed and manufactured in the Seiko Instruments Inc., which is a member of the Swiss chronometric community under of which the company implements the cooperation with other watch brands.
Despite all the changes TAG Heuer does not stop in the achievement of excellence and continues to conduct research in the field of innovation for wristwatches. At present the company is developing a revolutionary regulatory systems such as Pendulum (the magnetic field, which replaces hairspring in watches), which was introduced in 2010.
