TAG Heuer and its New Mikrogirder 2000 Watch at BaselWorld 2012
At the upcoming international exhibition BaselWorld 2012 Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer will present its new watch Mikrogirder 2000, which has premiered in January in Geneva.
TAG Heuer has always in search of, and a masterpiece of technological advances developed by the company, is a bright proof of this. Mikrogirder 2000 is an ultra-precise watch that measure time to within 1/2000 second. But the main feature of the novelty is not only a two-fold increase compared with the accuracy of the model, launched last year, but the unique mechanical components that need to be invented in order to achieve such high performance.
Masters of the company continue to develop watch mechanism in a completely new "image". In 2009 the brand introduced the concepts of Pendulum watch, in which there was mechanism without of carrying spiral. Chronograph Mikrotimer, which was presented at Baselworld 2011, did not have the balance wheel. A new concept Mikrogirder 2000 by TAG Heuer has not balance spirals and wheels, and with a record for a chronograph frequency of 7.2 million strikes per hour makes the watch work, and such a rapid progress can be seen through the remarkably beautiful dial of the model.
The round case is made in the style of «Bullhead», so called because of the non-standard location of the crown in its upper part. The basis of the case became a classic case of Carrera watch, but in this model the dial is placed at an angle, and its upper part protrudes from the case, repeating the design of vintage stopwatches of Heuer.
The novelty comes on a black rubber strap, which finalized the stylish appearance of the novelty.
