SIHH 2012: a royal chronograph by the company Audemars Piguet

Chronograph is inextricably linked with the history of sports watches and has always been a part of the legendary collection Royal Oak by Audemars Piguet. 2012 has become a jubilee year for the collection, and the significant 40th date the company celebrates by the release of its famous chronograph in a new form and new 41 millimeter size, which, according to developers, will become the main trend of the season. The company has presented the model Royal Oak Chronograph (Ref: 26320OR.OO.D002CR.01) at the exhibition SIHH 2012.
Rose gold is used for creation of this watch, which, despite its apparent "softness", however, retains all the characteristics of design, which the collection of Royal Oak is famous for. As well as a famous model 1972, this jubilee chronograph is presented in original combination of satin and polished treatment, with eight classic hexagonal screws made of white on the gold octagonal bezel of rose gold. High water resistance of the model is provided by a screwed-in crown. The model Royal Oak has a black dial in style “Grande Tapisserie”, characteristic for this collection. This unique method of dial decorating the dial was developed by the company and it is its pride.
The watch Royal Oak Chronograph (Ref: 26320OR.OO.D002CR.01) is performed on the basis of the manufactory automatic mechanism Calibre 2385, the total diameter is 26.20 (11 ½ lines), thickness - 5.50 mm. The mechanism is made on base of 37 rubies, the number of parts - 304. Power reserve is 40 hours; the oscillation frequency of balance is 21,600 vph.
The watch case with diameter of 41 mm is made of 18 carat rose gold and equipped with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The crown is screwed-in crown, water resistance is 50 meters. The dial of this men’s watch is in the style “Grande Tapisserie”, overhead hour indexes are made of rose gold, hands - with luminescent coating. The wide watch strap is made of genuine crocodile leather and equipped with a folding clasp original AR made of 18-karat rose gold. Watch functions: hours, minutes, small seconds, date and chronograph.
