Royal Oak Selfwinding 37 mm by Audemars Piguet at the SIHH 2012
Royal Oak - a collection of the most popular Swiss watch manufacture Audemars Piguet. The line of sporty watches category of "luxury" was established in 1972.
This year a landmark collection became 40 years, and in connection with the jubilee the watch company has released several new models that were presented at the annual Salon Haute Horlogerie SIHH 2012.
In their powerful and dynamic design is easily recognized the "genetic code" of the Royal Oak collection – octagonal rant, bound to the classical case with hex screws, and "deeply rooted" in the body strap. Among the new model is particularly distinguished Royal Oak Selfwinding 37 (Ref. 15451OR.ZZ.1256OR.01), a bezel encrusted with 40 round diamonds. Dazzle of precious stones makes sports watches special originality.
Case and bracelet, forming a single structure, are made of precious 18K rose gold. The guilloche dial has a two-level system of indication: the central hands indicate hours, minutes, seconds, date pointer is located at the 3 o’clock position. Oblong hour markers repeat the contours of the case and are ideally combined with an octagonal enclosure. The crown, placed on the lateral surface of the case at the 3 o’clock position, also has a multi-faceted form.
The watch is collected on the basis of the mechanism AP 3120, relating to one of the main base caliber of the company. The mechanism of diameter 6.26 mm and a thickness of 4.26 mm is composed of 280 components, based on 40 jewels, frequency at 21 600 pc / h, power reserve is 60 hours.
To buy a new version of Royal Oak will be possible in official boutiques of Audemars Piguet.
