The designer Michael Bastian was born in 1965 in Lyon. He began his career at Abraham & Strauss, after which he worked for Sotheby's, Tiffany & Co., Polo Ralph Lauren, and Bergdorf Goodman. Here he worked for five years as director of the male line. He started his own label in 2006. Bastian was awarded as the best menswear designer in 2007.
